Vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid is a water soluble vitamin. It has been emphasized from the beginning of the 20th century and has been awarded many benefits both in the preventive and curative fields. Unlike other nutrients it is one vitamin that is not naturally synthesized by the human body. It is therefore essential to maintain adequate vitamin C levels to protect against disorders related to possible deficiencies.

The effects on health are well established.

It is actively involved in the synthesis of collagen in all connective tissues (bone, cartilage, tendon, skin ... ) and it increases calcium absorption in the body.

Also seen as a powerful antioxidant, it is actively involved in protecting the cardiovascular system. It effectively fights against inflammatory and infectious disorders by increasing the mobility of white blood cells and stimulating the immune system.

It plays an important role in reducing triglycerides and cholesterol in the long term. A study shows that a daily intake of 500 mg of vitamin C for 4 weeks has reduced the LDL[1] (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol.

Its anti-stress, energizing and anti-fatigue action is mainly due to the fact that it is involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and the neural nervous system but also in the secretion of noradrenaline, a hormone produced in adrenal glands.

    To go further...

Contrary to popular belief and the various research works, vitamin C continues to be stored in the body. A controlled, randomized clinical trial, in Bogota, Colombia 2007 showed that even after plasma saturation, vitamin C continued to be stored in the body[2].

In 1980, during the conference of the Worldwide Health Seminar in San Diego, in the United States, Pr. Benjamin Siegal has underlined the positive correlation between the endogenous production stimulation of interferon and the high dose of vitamin c. This is to quote one of many examples of the usefulness of administering humans intake doses over RDA recommendations.

Why liposomal encapsulation by Goldman Laboratories for vitamin C

The liposomal encapsulation allows multiple benefits:

It helps to stabilize vitamin C, which by its nature is unstable.

It allows to obtain plasma saturation quickly and thus go "reload" the target organ (white blood cells, liver, adrenal glands, tissues ...).

It reduces the size of the molecule (from 50 nm to 120 nm) in order to optimize penetration into the target organ.

It allows to activate and release the vitamin C in the right place at the right time (it's in the small intestine that vitamin C is directly better absorbed ).

Difference between a Goldman Laboratories capsule vs. capsule in trade stores

    Goldman Laboratories liposomal Vitamin C

Vitamin C in store - 99% of the market

Vitamin C is diluted with additives, preservatives, coloring ...

High penetration rate in the small intestine

    Yes. Very High.

No. Practically nothing. Most of the vitamin C was destroyed by the gastric juices

    Action time in the body

While Vitamin C being properly stored throughout the body it takes longer to disappear.(about 8 hours)

Too weak. Plasma saturation never reached

Diarrhea problem associated with high doses of vitamin C

    Very Rare

Not more than a lemon or acerola
